much better defense on the ball is leading to bad shots by gt...and fast breaks by IU. 33-29

1/2 time...
IU is certainly not the 8th best team in the country right now. they really need to work on their defense, especially on stopping penetration and rotating when penetration happens, as well as pressuring up on the ball.
the offense looks good, but they did not finish well around the basket early. it's obvious that gordon is going to be a stud. just hope he stays two years.
oh, and how fucking much does the big guy weigh?

1) Brent will have to wait another night to shove his Bob doll up his ass celebrating an IU loss.
2) We looked like dog shit early. Amazing that Gordon finished with 29 when he didn't score for about the first 10 minutes or so.
3) What the hell did Crawford do to get suspended?
4) Nice to see Stemler swish a few three's.
5) Liked Ellis.
6) Good rebounding by DJ. His free throws sucked.
7) benchy, why are you ducking the thread on traveling between the stars?

No you looked at it wrong - Texas Tech shot 20 free throws and Butler shot just only 11. That's almost a 2-to-1 advantage. I agree, the refs helped you.

couldn't tell you about that game. but like you said the 38 free throws we shot tonight were almost twice as many...18 more to be exact...than what GT got. Makes you think Sampson was paying them. Holy shit! And with his past, well, you never quite know.

Reminded me a TON of Knight's teams...you know, making more than the opposition attempts? What was the reasonsing behind all those years of IU doing this during RMK's tenure?

IU better toughen up quick. playing @ SIU is no picnic. several coaches this year have said that the salukis are the physically strongest and toughest team they have played, and that has been their calling card for years. i was reading an article about how chris lowery holds scrimmages with no out of bounds (and i think no fouls)to build toughness. usc beat the shit out of them last weekend, but the siu arena will be sold out and rocking (remember a couple of years ago?). if IU gets out of carbondale with a victory, that will be a nice win.

"We didn't guard them off the dribble," Hewitt said. "When you don't guard off the dribble, you give up 38 free throws."

he's right. IU's guards did a good job of penetrating, and they are strong and good enough to continue on to the basket. gt picked up a ton of fouls because they couldn't stop gordon and ellis driving.

Facts? I'm the one pointing to facts, dipshit. I posted actual numbers showing the free-throw bias. You came back with "as if anyone didn't know...if it werent for the refs we would have won by 10" LOL! Nice factual response there, bucko.

It's a very good stat...and one I like to see. You obviously haven't been paying attention to certain posters around here or you would have understood why I posted what I did. Free throw attempts that are out of balance are always the result of crooked refs.

Funny how when Bob's teams had that many more free throws it was always, "Knight designed his offense to draw more fouls" but if a non-Bob team does, especially one that Brent hates, like IU, it is "the refs helped them out."

You seem to need the same help as wisdave. Morons.
